Innovative
Dispute
Resolution

At Moore Mediations we specialize in finding a way to give litigants and their attorneys their best chance to resolve a lawsuit before going to trial. Our priority is to help parties determine whether some or all of their legal disputes can be settled.

You can't control the time, money, or risk required for a long, expensive trial, followed by an adverse judgment for one party or another.  But, you owe it to yourself to find out what you'd have to compromise, in order to walk away.  If you participate in a mediated settlement conference you can learn where opposing sides draw the lines in the sand;  the parties don't have to make any offers or accept any demands, so some cases won't be settled at mediation.  However, if you engage in compromise negotiations, you may learn whether a "bird in the hand" could save you a "roll of the dice" .

A neutral mediator can steer the conversation to maximize the communication of  useful information and  to give a different perspective in finding common ground. Let Moore Mediations give you a real chance to make the best decision for your case, before you go to trial where it will be decided for you.

Bill Moore has been a certified mediator for nearly two decades. He has been active in complex commercial litigation for more than 40 years, trying and settling cases and appeals for individuals, couples, families, representing shareholders, in derivative and class actions, advising "Mom & Pop's" businesses, multi-national corporations, employees, managers, employers, commercial landlords, residential tenants; homeowners, buyers, sellers, owners associations and non-profit boards.

With a focus on empathy and broad experience, we aim to create a supportive environment where adverse parties can navigate the complexities of the legal claims and defenses and participate in a settlement dialogue with clarity and respect.

From Magistrate's Court to the North Carolina Supreme Court; in counties stretching from the Outer Banks to the Appalachian Trail; from the United States District Courts for Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina,  to the Fourth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal.  Mr. Moore has likely been "in the shoes" of the attorneys in one case or another, and has represented your side of the conflict on more than one occasion - his experience and neutrality allows all sides to speak candidly, to maximize the time and effort needed to decide how to resolve the lawsuit, whether by settlement negotiation or jury trial.

Testimonials

"Bill Moore served as Party Selected Mediator in some of the most complicated and convoluted disputes of my 30+ year career as a litigator. Bill was able to manage the parties' emotions and got them to focus on the issues and find rational solutions during the mediated settlement process. He works hard and thinks outside the box to help the parties resolve their disputes. I highly recommend Bill Moore for anyone in need of mediation services. "
